About the game

Pixadom is a 2D social MMORPG that runs inside your browser. Nothing to download, no client to install: open play.pixadom.com, sign in with an account or as a guest, and the same session works on a PC or on a phone. It comes from Virtuate Pty Ltd, a small team that has been showing it publicly since 2024.

Pixadom runs in the browser, in top-down pixel art.

The town is the content

Pixadom is built around hanging out rather than around leveling up. Life happens in a town with a cafe, a nightclub and shops; farming and fishing are communal, every player decorates their own apartment, and the team runs minigames and events every week. Monster combat exists, though it is the thinnest part of the package.

Town activities carry more weight here than combat does.

What costs money and what doesn't

Playing costs nothing and nothing is locked behind a purchase. The shop sells gems through PayPal for cosmetics, furniture and limited editions, and some are handed out at official events. The Supporter program adds a three-tier monthly subscription with exclusive items, such as custom headpieces, and early feature previews on Discord. Neither one lists prices outside the client.

Where it stands

The client warns you before you log in that this is an unfinished pre-alpha. You can still play all of it today: apartments, communal farming and fishing, the shop, the cafe, the nightclub, minigames, combat and the weekly events the team hosts. What is there works; what is missing shows, and content shifts week to week.

The roadmap aims at a "Public Version 1" and says plainly that it is not a schedule or a promise of dates. Still open: the main town redesign, Coral Cove, Hugglehen Farms, the combat portal hub with bosses, private messaging and a friends list. A paintball PvP arena is listed as far off.

There is no public versioning and no formal patch notes: changes and bug reports live on the studio's Discord, and no player numbers have been published. The roadmap also admits paid content comes ahead of free content "for sustainability". Pixadom works if you want twenty minutes of company on any screen. For combat with depth, it isn't there yet.
