About the game

Digimon Super Rumble is the open-world MMORPG Move Interactive launched in South Korea on November 24, 2022, the studio's third game under the license after Digimon RPG and Digimon Masters. You play a Tamer roaming an Unreal Engine map where File Island and the Server continent sit alongside real-world districts lifted from Digimon Adventure, Odaiba and Shibuya among them.

The game's open world, built in Unreal Engine.

Three Digimon and turn-based combat

You field a party of three Digimon and fight real-time turn-based battles, where each partner spends SP on skills and can digivolve up to its higher forms. Most of the game orbits that: collecting and raising hundreds of Digimon, completing whole evolution lines, and taking the party through dungeons, raids and PvP across zones running from Gear Savannah to Spiral Mountain.

Free to play, with the shop in Korean

The game is free, with no subscription and no season pass announced. Its shop runs on Crowns, the premium currency, covering cosmetics, random boxes and evolution-related consumables along the lines of Evolutors and Zero Units, all of which also drop through play. Move Interactive has never posted dollar prices or paid editions: top-ups go through Korean payment methods, which is why third-party Crown resellers exist at all.

Where it stands today

The service is alive in Korea and patches land every two weeks; the official update list doubles as the only public calendar, since the studio communicates no roadmap. The game moved from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5.4 and now sits on its version 3 branch. Move Interactive publishes no player numbers either, so population is impossible to verify from outside.

The real obstacle is the region. It isn't on Steam: you run the launcher from the official site with a Korean portal account whose signup asks for local verification, and the site tells you your country isn't supported from outside the allowed regions. English has been in since July 31, 2025, but only as an interface option inside the Korean client, and no international service has been announced. For a Digimon fan willing to fight through all of that, what waits on the other side is a big, free, constantly updated MMORPG.
