MIR 4
About the game
MIR 4 is a free-to-play Korean action MMORPG developed and published by Wemade, running cross-play between PC and mobile across a single Asian-fantasy open world. It's a free download from the official site or Steam, and one account carries your progress whether you're at a monitor or on a phone. It launched in 2021 and remains in global service.
Clans, territory and martial-arts combat
MIR 4's heart is its martial-arts combat and, above all, clan warfare. Massive fights over territory like the Hidden Valley and castle sieges are what define the long game — crowds of players clashing over resources and prestige. It all rides on heavily automated progression — auto-combat and auto-pathing — the hallmark of the Eastern MMO: the game can grind almost on its own while you decide when and where a fight actually matters.

What you pay for: shop, crypto and NFTs
Playing is free, but monetization runs hot and draws persistent pay-to-win criticism. The shop sells bundles, chests, passes and convenience items that noticeably speed up progression and PvP power. You can advance without spending, but the real competitive ceiling is tied closely to your wallet.
On top of that sits an optional play-to-earn layer: players refine Darksteel into the DRACO token and can mint and trade characters and gear as NFTs inside Wemade's WEMIX / WEMIX PLAY ecosystem (now running on WEMIX$/pWEMIX$). The earn-while-you-play promise is real, but those tokens swing with the crypto market and usually demand a competitive up-front investment — it's as much a speculative economy as a game.

Where it stands today
MIR 4 is Live — in global service since August 25, 2021 across more than 170 countries. Wemade keeps it on a steady update cadence: new classes added to the original four (Warrior, Sorcerer, Taoist and Lancer), such as the Arbalist and the Lionheart; high-level raid expansions; PvP and PvE rebalancing; Boosting World servers for new and returning players; and server merges to keep populations healthy. The player base leans mobile; on PC turnout is moderate, peaking around 12,000 concurrent players, with reviews sitting mixed.
Who it's for
MIR 4 suits players who enjoy the classic Eastern MMO — large-scale clan warfare, long-haul progression and comfortable grinding thanks to automation — and anyone curious about the crypto/NFT economy who won't treat it as an investment. The downsides are real: real money weighs heavily, pay-to-win pressure is constant, and the play-to-earn layer adds volatility and friction more than pure fun. If you want an MMORPG where skill outranks the wallet, this isn't it; but if its martial fantasy pulls you in and you know what you're signing up for, there's a big, good-looking world to explore.
