SWTOR Kicks Off Galactic Season 11 'Light and Shadow' on August 18

Star Wars: The Old Republic's 7.9.1 update lands August 4 and opens Galactic Season 11 on the 18th, bringing back Fen Zeil and Amity, new cyborg cosmetics in the Cartel Market, and October's Feast of Prosperity event.
Star Wars: The Old Republic rolls out its 7.9.1 'Light and Shadow' update on August 4, with roughly three hours of downtime while the servers get their tune-up. The main event comes shortly after: Galactic Season 11 'Light and Shadow' begins August 18 and runs on the same framework as the previous season, so if you were already grinding Season 10 there's nothing new to learn. You can read the full patch notes in the official announcement.
Galactic Season 11: familiar faces return
The juiciest news for collectors is the return of rewards from Seasons 2 and 4, companions included: Fen Zeil and Amity are back within reach for anyone who missed them the first time around. On top of that, the season adds fresh material: customizations for both companions, a brand-new armor set, companion-compatible mounts, titles, and Stronghold labels. Nothing revolutionary mechanically, but a solid batch of cosmetic goals to chip away at week by week.
Cartel Market: a new tab and cyborg cosmetics
The Cartel Market tidies up with a fresh Accessories tab, which is where all current accessory items get moved. The 7.9.1 launch also brings a long batch of cyborg pieces: PAL-IV prosthetic feet, hands, and forearms —inspired by the series Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord— plus a whole array of implants, cybernetic adapters, and sensory and targeting enhancements for anyone who wants to build a half-flesh, half-machine character. New Primary Oiled Bronze dyes join the lineup too.
Feast of Prosperity and fixes
Looking a little further ahead, the seasonal fall event Feast of Prosperity returns from October 6 through November 3, this time with a Waiter Droid customization for C2-N2 and 2V-R8. On the fixes front, the patch finally lets you deselect Legacy Titles in the character window, corrects the page numbering on season and PvP login rewards, and cleans up several bugs across cinematics, missions, dynamic encounters, and flashpoints —including the elevator control panel that now actually lets you board the Red Reaper. Minor stuff, but the kind you appreciate when it all lands at once.
In short: a maintenance update with a season at its heart. If SWTOR is your go-to MMORPG, August 18 gives you a reason to log back in.
