MapleStory Classic World opens October 6 for founders, October 21 for everyone

Nexon has wrapped up testing on MapleStory Classic World and gone straight to dates. The server opens October 6 for anyone who buys the Founder's Package and October 21 for everyone else, with packages going on sale September 2.
The dates come from a report by Hanbyeol Inkwell Oh, chief product officer of global MapleStory, posted on the official site, which also confirmed there won't be another closed test before live service. Whatever gets played during Founder's Access sticks: characters and progression carry straight into the full launch.
The launch build arrives trimmed. Orbis, El Nath and 3rd Job Advancement are in neither Founder's Access nor the October 21 build; Nexon says those areas and systems are being reworked and will show up gradually. It also promises new content at Grand Launch without saying what.
On monetization, the promise is a Cash Shop limited to cosmetics and convenience, with no items that boost EXP or character power. The Founder's Package is said to include cosmetics inspired by MapleStory's early years; its price and full contents remain unannounced.
One loose end for beta players: a Mark of Beta earned through an in-game quest that closes in November. Nexon hasn't published the exact deadline or the requirements yet.
