Code of Creation closes out Guild Wars 2's Visions of Eternity on September 15

ArenaNet has dated the expansion's finale: September 15 brings the Leyspring Hollows map, the Rift Amplification mastery, a fractal, a raid and the Wages of Stars legendary sword.

ArenaNet has finally dated the end of Visions of Eternity. Code of Creation, the update that wraps up the expansion, lands on September 15 with the last stretch of the story and new content spread across most of the game's modes, per the studio's announcement.

The explorable piece is Leyspring Hollows, a new map arriving alongside its own mastery, Rift Amplification. ArenaNet has put out the names, but hasn't yet explained what the mastery unlocks or how you earn it.

Group content comes in three pieces: the Solitary Throne fractal, with a challenge mode; the Nexus of Eternity raid; and a convergence sharing that name. The raid's harder tiers are staggered: challenge mode on September 29, legendary mode on October 13.

On the rewards side, the headline item is the Wages of Stars legendary sword, backed by a weapon set, an armor set and the Volatile Ascension infusions. If you dropped the expansion halfway through, this is the natural point to come back: the story ends here.

Beyond that, the announcement said nothing about what comes next for Guild Wars 2 after September.
