Echoes of Creation: Origin cracks open a new continent and lets you learn a second class

The MMORPG's 0.2.0 update adds a continent you only reach by pledging to a faction, a second class per character, and world bosses that hurt again no matter how much Defence you stack.

Echoes of Creation: Origin has released The Sundering, version 0.2.0 and the biggest update since the MMORPG hit Steam Early Access on May 29. It adds a whole new landmass, a second class for anyone who wants one, and a rework of how world boss fights play out.

There is no boat and no portal to the new continent: your allegiance is the door. Pledge to one of the three factions and a Sundering tab shows up on your World Map, letting you travel straight to your capital, with level 31-39 hunting grounds set aside for each side.

The toughest ground is The Sundering Scar, level 42-50, and there is no teleport into it: you walk in from your faction's field zone. Every area carries its own music, its own monsters and its own world bosses, with at least three roaming each field zone.

Sundering bosses drop each faction's endgame armour set, Dawnweave, Duskweave and Rootweave, upgraded with a new material called Elorite. The pieces launch untradeable: each one is tracked individually so it can't be duplicated, and the marketplace can't hand that tracking over between players yet. Trading opens once that's built.

Your class is no longer a one-time decision. Speak to Master Aldric and you can learn an extra class for 10,000 Lumina, then swap freely between the ones you know, each keeping its own gear, skills and hotbar. Classes are learned per character rather than per account, and the Warrior is now open to everyone.

Heavily armoured builds could reduce world bosses to chip damage, so bosses now always land a meaningful chunk of your health regardless of how much Defence you pile on. Their attack values were retuned to match, which keeps this from turning into a blanket difficulty spike.

Their loot is now handled server-side: the top damage dealer and their party get a 5 second priority window to claim before it opens up to everyone, and landing the first hit counts toward your share. Upgrade and socketing rolls also resolve on the server, out of reach of a modified client.

The rest of the patch, covering storage changes, Auto-Hunt tweaks and a performance pass over the village, sits in the full notes on Steam.
