Foxhole keeps polishing its air war in Update 66, with 2027 already in the works

Update 66 arrives on August 18 with more reliable aircraft packaging, masks for scout pilots and a new heavy fighter for the Colonials. The studio also says a 2027 roadmap is already being drafted.
Foxhole rolls out Update 66 on August 18, the second minor release in the six-week development cycle the studio set for itself and another pass over the air war that came with Airborne. There is no headline feature here: the point is aircraft that finally behave.
The most practical fix is packaging. Storing an aircraft from awkward positions is now stable and predictable, which turns plane recovery from a gamble into a routine. Region borders also read more clearly from the air, a small change aimed at pilots who cross a line they never saw.
Scout aircraft crews can now wear pilot masks, closing a gap that kept them from doing the job the plane exists for. The Colonials get the Daimon aK-5 "Harpy", a heavy fighter with four anti-tank rifles in the nose and a 360º twin MG turret, trading agility for firepower, durability and fuel endurance.
On the Warden side, the Rinnspeir Mk. I Zealot paratrooper aircraft has been redesigned with a bomb-bay style door at the tail and wider side doors, so squads hit the ground faster.
The update also carries anti-cheat work the studio will not detail publicly, with more development time reserved for it in Update 67 and a bigger moderation team planned. Update 68 closes out the year with new content, and a 2027 roadmap of both minor and major updates is already being drafted.
