Iverian Wars isn't closing: the 4Story sale to Gameforge left it out
Zemi Interactive says 4Story: The Original is shutting down because the IP was sold to Gameforge, and that Iverian Wars was never part of the deal and keeps running.
Zemi Interactive stepped in to clear up the confusion among its players: Iverian Wars: Craxion vs Defugel is still running and is unaffected by the closure of 4Story: The Original. In a Steam post, the studio said it had to pull the plug on that game because the 4Story intellectual property was sold to Gameforge, and that Iverian Wars was never part of the deal.
That closure was announced back in July. The 4Story: The Original server goes dark for good on October 20, 2026, no new players are being accepted, and existing accounts can keep playing until then. Zemi also sent a unique code to accounts that had spent money, redeemable for rewards in Iverian Wars through a support ticket listing the code and the character name.
The 4Story brand isn't going anywhere. Gameforge has published the MMORPG in Europe for years and now states on its official site that it bought the IP from Zemi Interactive; that service is still live, with events and scheduled maintenance this month. What ends is the version the Korean studio ran on its own.
Iverian Wars is the MMORPG Zemi still has standing: free-to-play, in Steam Early Access since February 24, 2026, and sitting on mostly negative reviews, 31% positive out of 574. The post says nothing about what Gameforge paid or what it plans to do with the brand.
