Stars Reach wraps its playtest with a Server Slam and restarts its creator program

Playable Worlds recapped the final playtest weekend of Stars Reach: a load test with no published numbers, a homesteading event caught on video, and the creator program, which restarts with early access on August 18.

We already covered the shutdown of the Stars Reach playtest servers last week. What's new is the wrap-up Playable Worlds posted: what came out of the two final events, and what happens to the creator program once early access opens on August 18.

The first was a Server Slam, a load test to see how far the infrastructure would bend before launch. The studio says the data it collected is going straight into the release build, though it published no figures at all: no concurrent players, no downtime, no response times.

The second was a homesteading event, walking players through claiming a plot of land and managing it so their corner of the galaxy stays the way they left it. Playable Worlds recorded the whole session for anyone who missed it.

The homesteading session: how to claim a plot of land and what to do with it.

The creator rewards program restarts on August 18, through Creators.gg. Approved creators who stream during early access earn game keys for themselves and their community, in-game titles and official merchandise; anyone already enrolled keeps their progress and has until September 4 to finish their goals.

After launch, the studio plans to publish the full list of changes in the release build and to detail what's coming next on its roadmap. Until then, the servers stay dark.
