OSRS lowers Hallowed Sepulchre requirements and finally cuts prayer scrolls in Chambers of Xeric

Jagex shipped the second Summer Sweep Up batch on August 12th. The first one, back in July, covered gear and PvM and left the Chambers of Xeric loot rework as a proposal. It is live now, and considerably more aggressive than what was on the table then.

The Hallowed Sepulchre opens up: Floor 4 now asks for Level 77 Agility instead of 82, and Floor 5 for 87 instead of 92. Boosting counts for floor entry too, so a player sitting at 72 can bite a Summer pie at the end of Floor 3 and walk into Floor 4. Floor 5's Grand Coffin now takes 84 Thieving or 92 Agility.

In Chambers of Xeric, prayer scroll weighting drops: they show up 19.5% less often in regular raids and 26.1% less in Challenge Mode, while Ancestral pieces climb 53.3% and 64.3% respectively. Jagex admits its original plan of tweaking things slowly went down badly, and that finishing the set was taking longer on average than getting a Twisted Bow.

On the skilling side there are eight new Agility shortcuts, from Level 49 to 83, spread across Draynor, the River Lum, the Arceuus Library and north of Sophanem. Six grapple shortcuts no longer need any equipment, at the cost of a higher level: the broken raft in the River Lum goes from 8 to 48. Achievement Diary tasks that involve a grapple still want the grapple.

The Colossal Wyrm course runs longer, up about 25% on the basic lap and 40% on the advanced one, with XP, bone shards and termites scaled to keep the hourly rates while cutting the click intensity.

Two weeks after Wyrmscraig went live, Jagex published its drop rates: the Hallowfell sword lands at 1 in 127 from The Mad Angel, and the Mr McGroot pet sits at a 1 in 40,000 base rate that improves with Hunter level. The boss now grants killcount, applied retroactively on login, and drops Medium clues instead of Hard ones.
