Deep Rock Galactic Kicks Off the 2026 Space Beach Party: Floaties, Double Points and a Turtle Hat

Deep Rock Galactic's annual beach party is live for two weeks: lost floaties in the mines, a double Performance Pass point bonus, and the new Tactical Turtle hat as the assignment reward.

The tradition is back on Hoxxes: the 2026 Space Beach Party is now live in Deep Rock Galactic and runs for two weeks. It's the game's most laid-back seasonal event —lanterns lit, drinks on the Space Rig and sand of questionable origin— but it comes with concrete rewards worth chasing, especially if you're behind on the Performance Pass.

Lost Floaties and Double Points

The heart of the event is once again the hunt for lost floaties inside missions. Finding them grants a Double Performance Pass Point Bonus, the fastest way to climb the season without changing how you play: you run the same missions you'd run anyway, just paying more attention to the corners of the caves. If you started the season late or let your pass stall, these two weeks are the window to catch up.

The Tactical Turtle Hat and the Rest of the Wardrobe

This year's cosmetic addition is the Tactical Turtle hat, earned by completing the event's work assignment from the Mission Terminal. As always with these parties, latecomers aren't left out: over these two weeks you can also grab every hat from previous years, so if you missed an earlier Space Beach Party, now is the time to finish the collection.

Let's be clear about what this is: it's not a content update or a new season. It's the same seasonal event as always, with its trademark corporate humor —the announcement jokes about shutting down the air-conditioning to set the beach mood, until management remembers none was ever installed— and its combo of cosmetic rewards and accelerated progression. Nobody should come back to Hoxxes expecting new missions.

Even so, these events serve a clear purpose in a co-op that's been running for years: they're a cheap excuse to get the four-player squad back together and wrap up pass progress. If your group had drifted apart, the next two weeks are the best pretext you'll get until the next event. Rock and Stone.
