Throne and Liberty drops Ramux and her dragon Atirat tonight

Tonight's patch adds a new two-phase Archboss, twenty weapon recipes, two level 60 Guild Raids, and a steep cut to enhancement costs.

Big night for Throne and Liberty: today's patch introduces a new Archboss — the dragon knight Ramux and her mount Atirat — and drags a full endgame package along with it: twenty new weapon recipes, two level 60 Guild Raids, a Dimensional Trial in rotation, and a meaningful cut to gear enhancement costs. It's exactly the kind of update the MMORPG crowd has been waiting for, and it's worth knowing what's coming before you dive in.

Ramux and Atirat: a two-phase boss

The fight plays out in two acts. In the first phase, Ramux battles mounted on Atirat while the dragon rains blue flame across the field; the trick is to focus damage on the beast, and a mountable ballista on the arena adds ranged pressure to help. Once Atirat goes down, Ramux absorbs the dragon's energy and the fight continues against her alone, now unmounted. It's a structure that rewards coordinating your damage focus over swinging wildly.

On the story side, Ramux carries the title of the last dragon knight consumed by hatred, with a backstory tied to the Arkeum League and a thirst for revenge against humankind. The official announcement gathers the lore and encounter details in the Throne and Liberty news post.

New Archboss weapons and crafting

The loot is what moves the needle. The patch introduces twenty new Archboss weapon recipes, split across two tracks: ten use Thundercloud Scales as their main component and another ten call for Skill Cores — with the catch that the latter cannot receive Potential Abilities. That's a design choice worth noting before you sink materials in, since it caps how far you can customize each weapon.

Guild Raids, Dimensional Trial, and battle pass

Guilds get two level 60 Guild Raids, Thuban and Porfos, expanding the high-end co-op content. On top of that, Stone Grave Cradle joins the Dimensional Trial rotation, and a new battle pass season, Scarlet Drift, kicks off. All told, there's plenty of reason to rally a group this week.

Lower enhancement costs (and refunds)

The balance section brings relief to your progression wallet. Equipment Growth costs are reduced, Resonance enhancement no longer yields worse results, and Inheritance costs are cut in half. Since the change is effectively retroactive, players who already spent resources on enhancement will get refunds within 48 hours. On combat balance, gauntlets get the most attention, with tweaks across several weapons. Server downtime to roll it all out starts at 10:30 p.m. PT and runs about 3.5 hours.

Not everything lands today: the recipes and materials to upgrade Ascended Talandre Archboss weapons were rescheduled to August 26, and in two weeks the Ascended Archboss Grand Assault will run with double spawns. Between the new boss, the weapons, and the breather on costs, this is a patch with real meat — the kind that earns a log-in.
