Aion 2 Adds 30 Days of Membership to Every Founders Pack — Including Ones Already Bought

NC listened: all three Aion 2 Founders Pack tiers now include 30 days of Membership, applied retroactively to everyone who already bought one. The same stream confirmed five server regions, one of them in South America.
On its first community stream for Aion 2, NC confirmed that every Founders Pack will now include 30 days of Membership, and that the change applies retroactively to anyone who already bought one. It was the loudest complaint since the packs went on sale, because Membership is what unlocks several core MMO systems — starting with player trading.
A pack that no longer locks out features
The announcement came from NC's Merv Lee Kwai, framed explicitly as a response to community feedback. The previous setup was hard to defend: you could buy the most expensive pack and still be locked out of the game's subscription layer, something most MMOs with a similar model hand over as a welcome courtesy. With the change, anyone coming in through the founders door gets the full game for a month and can then decide for themselves whether the Membership is worth keeping.
The Founders Pack still comes in three tiers — from $24.99 to $99.99 — all of them with five days of early access starting September 30, ahead of the global launch. The 30 days of Membership are stacked on top of what each tier already offered, with no price change. Per-edition details are on the official Aion 2 site.
What else came out of the stream
Two more confirmations are worth flagging. First: party size in Sanctuaries goes from 8 to 10 players, a small tweak on paper that changes how group content compositions get built. Second, and the one that matters most on our side of the map: the global launch will run five server regions — US West, US East, Central Europe, South America and Japan. A dedicated South American region means sane latency without leaning on northern servers, something not every Korean MMO bothers with.
They also clarified that the cosmetics bundled in the packs will stay exclusive to that purchase in the global version, unlike Korea, where the same items eventually show up for sale in-game. It's a minor point if you're here for the content, but it defines the pack's real value for anyone buying with their character's look in mind.
What to watch between now and September 30
The gesture is concrete and welcome, but it doesn't settle the deeper argument: how much Membership and the store actually weigh on character progression. That's exactly what the 30 days are for — play with everything unlocked and gauge how it feels the following month, once the subscription stops being free. The fact that NC reworked the offer less than two months out from early access, and retroactively at that, is at least a sign they're reading feedback before launch rather than after.
