Final Fantasy XIV's Patch 7.55 lands, closing Occult Crescent with North Horn

Final Fantasy XIV has gone live with Patch 7.55, one of those updates that ties loose ends together: it closes out the Occult Crescent field content with the North Horn zone, wraps up the Phantom Weapons series and lowers the curtain on two beloved threads — the Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures and the Allied Society quests. The headliner is North Horn, the final stretch of the Occult Crescent field content introduced in Dawntrail. The zone adds fresh areas to explore, new foes and objectives for the groups that dove into this Eureka/Bozja-style mode, along with the progression and rewards that have anchored the activity. Patch 7.55 also concludes the Phantom Weapons series, the weapon-upgrade line tied to Occult Crescent. This step lets you push your weapon to its maximum item level and, at the final stage, customize its stats to whatever your role needs — the classic end-of-season payoff for anyone who walked the whole grind.

On the story side, the patch delivers the finale of the Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures, closing out another run of the game's most gloriously absurd escapades, and hands over the Allied Society capstone quest, wrapping that chain of reputation quests.
