Pax Dei previews a small R48 and confirms horses are in production

Mainframe Industries used a Discord post to lay out what's coming in R48, the next Pax Dei update, and the studio itself frames it as a small release: one new creature, a handful of items and some quality-of-life work. The heaviest news sits at the end of the message, and it isn't part of the patch at all.

The new content revolves around the Radiant Hart, an oversized deer that arrives with its own crafting chain: a dreamcatcher and decor pieces built from its antlers. A new plant, the Blessed Sevenfold, joins it, along with two items that actually change what you carry: a Shepherd's Hat with the lull spell baked in and a Sylvan Staff with more health and stronger buffs.

The rest of R48 is housekeeping: interface tweaks, changes to the redeeming queue and to how active buffs refresh. These are the daily annoyances, not a change of direction.

Horses are a different matter. The studio says work is underway and that a big share of its development resources is going into it. Animations, rigs and models are coming along; the hard part is fitting mounts into the world so they move naturally and zone transitions hold up. Even so, the team warns they won't land right after R48.

There's no date for R48 either. As of this writing, no patch notes had shown up on the official site, where R47 is still the most recent entry.
