Once Human opens its console servers tomorrow, with its own rules per region

NetEase and Starry Studio's survival game arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 25 at 11:00 PT, with console-only servers, six scenarios and crossplay with PC and mobile.

Once Human opens its console servers tomorrow: August 25 at 11:00 PT, on PlayStation 5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S. The launch covers North America, South America, Europe, Japan, Korea and Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, and the game stays free-to-play.

NetEase Games and Starry Studio promise full crossplay and cross-progression from day one with the PC and mobile versions. There is fine print: regions stay separate from each other, and a single account can't be logged in on two platforms at once. PS and Xbox players do share servers.

Servers carrying the Console prefix are reserved for console players. Each server belongs to a scenario, which sets the map, rules, story and PvE/PvP balance, with stages running from a few days to several weeks; the studio points newcomers to Manibus (Novice). Day one brings 6 scenarios plus a PvP spin-off.

Pre-download unlocks 48 hours before launch and, for now, only for PlayStation pre-order users. The client weighs roughly 80 GB on PS5 and 100 GB on Xbox, and partial downloads are supported.

The console build adds a first-person view you can toggle with third person at any time, a Quality mode targeting 4K at 60fps and a Performance mode at 120fps on compatible displays. Test server character progress doesn't carry over: only some things come back, such as Starchrom and active cosmetics, through an event claim.
