Soulframe puts temper crafting and wolf-pup raising in Preludes 16

Digital Extremes used a short dev livestream to confirm that two TennoCon features are going into the pre-alpha RPG's next build. There is still no release date.
In a short developer livestream this week, Digital Extremes confirmed two of the features going into Preludes 16, the next build of Soulframe: Temper crafting and the wolf-pup raising that ends in a mount. The studio gave no date for that build.
Temper crafting goes after the usual drop-game problem: break a weapon down, keep its Tempers, and use them to replace the ones you don't want on another weapon. The system unlocks as Tuvalcane levels up, and the stated goal is letting an Envoy work toward their ideal weapon instead of waiting for it to drop.
The pup comes out of The Shewolf Snared fable: it joins you as a Nightfold companion and has to be raised into a full-grown wolf before you can ride it. At TennoCon the studio placed mounts in the fall, without an exact date and without saying how much real time the raising takes.
Both systems were shown on July 11 during Devstream 16 at TennoCon 2026, alongside the Vadagar pact and the Warsongs; what's new is that they now have a build attached. Soulframe is still in pre-alpha, and access goes out through the Preludes program, as laid out in the TennoCon recap.
