Sphere 3 adds the Warlock, a class that pays for its spells in blood

The Warlock is live in Sphere 3: it runs on necrotic energy, and when that energy drops, every spell is paid for with the caster's own health. GameXP published no requirements and no patch notes.

The Warlock is now playable in Sphere 3. The new class in GameXP's MMORPG fills a support and control role: it buffs allies, weakens enemies, slows their advance and feeds on the souls of whoever stands in the way. What sets it apart is how it pays for each spell.

Its main resource is necrotic energy, and it has to stay topped up: the lower it drops, the more of the Warlock's own life force each cast costs. Health comes back through lifesteal, and the class can summon a ranged minion, the Ghoul, to wear targets down.

Among its signature abilities, Blood Shield turns health into a shield that soaks up part of the incoming damage, while Flesh Mastery raises survivability and cuts the chance of being crit, and it can be cast on allies too. Reaping hits several targets with a short recovery, and Crimson Wall lays down wide zones that damage enemies and lower their defenses.

The trade-off is mobility: the Warlock is slow and unforgiving with resource management, so pressing buttons in order won't cut it. GameXP published no level requirement, no race restriction and no patch notes with numbers, and the announcement simply invites players to roll one on Steam. The game's official page, meanwhile, still says 9 classes.
