Wuthering Waves 3.6 opens the Xuanyuan Domain and rewires the game underneath

Wuthering Waves has been running version 3.6, Lamplight in Mirage, Sword's Resolve in Heart, since August 20. It brings two five-star Resonators, a new area and the next stretch of the main story's Chapter IV.

The new characters are Qingxiao (Aero, sword) and Jingran (Fusion, broadblade), both through their featured Convene banners. Two five-star weapons come with them: Glint of Clouds for sword and Thousandfold Deliverance for broadblade.

The story moves ahead with Chapter IV Act III, "Song of the Heart Sword", plus a segue called "The Nethermancer's Requiem". You reach the Xuanyuan Domain, the version's new region, by playing through that act, and the patch also adds a new boss, the Calamity Effigy.

Beyond the content there are two technical changes that matter: the studio switched the game's programming language to improve performance across every platform, and on PC it upgraded frame generation to DLSS 4.5. The announcement gives no numbers or before-and-after figures, so the real gain is something each rig will have to show.

The rest is housekeeping: the Expedition Motorbike got better navigation and Autopilot Mode, and the Tactical Hologram: Sparring challenge adds the Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis fight. Events cover combat, co-op, exploration at the Fogveil Pagoda and a seven-day login. The full change list is in the official announcement.
